Clearly crocs look daft on adults, but are they ok for quite small kids?

Your thoughts please.

Ds is desperate for them (he is 4)

I am toying with buying them as his main summer shoes (then wellies and some cheap lace ups for running about in)

But I am in two minds as to whether they just look completely daft, even on kids.

I think they look great on kids and fancied some for myself but when I tried them on they were really wide and felt far too big (although fine length ways). Same happened when took children to get theirs and they didnt like them. Is it something you get used to or are we just a particularly skinny footed family?

Perfect for kids, dd1 has worn hers every day since I bought them a year ago. Best value practical shoes I have ever bought.

Serious note from a concerned mum.

Please take extra caution when riding on escalators with this type of footware, due to the soft compounds they are manufactured from. Please ensure that the child's feet are kept away from the escalator brushes (these brushes appear on both side of the escalator).

Thanks for reading this.

Definately for children, but I could never bring myself to wear a pair (though now I am heavily pregnant I can kind of see the appeal- for comfort only, not the way they look). Dd wore hers all last summer and I got her a new pair last week. She would wear them every day if she could, which is enough to convince me.

My dc have them - forked out a fortune for the "real" Crocs last year for dd. Then I bought her some fake ones - you can't tell the difference.

Ds has yellow ones and I just bought him blue ones from Primark last week for £2.

You can also put them in the dishwasher! But I don't fancy them in amongst the dishes tbh!

as an aside what do we think to these little beauties for the Autumn? shall we get in there before Kate Moss et al start to wear them?

Personally I like them, but I love crocs anyway so.....

Well lucycat, they're no worse than Ugg boots. And a tad more practical.

People tend to forget that Uggs started out as something to wear in the Australian outback. And Australia (outside of v trendy Sydney etc) isn't/wasn't the home of high style

DD managed to wreck 2 pairs of croc-a-likes within a month. Her genuine crocs are indestructible.

They are wide, but you get used to them. Or kids do, cos obviously I only wear mine in the garden
