I am not a S&B regular (having not much style and even less beauty) but would like advice please on getting rid of peach fuzz.

I have always been quite hairy, but heading towards 50 am more so. I get my eyebrows and tache waxed, and I epilate my extensive collection of super rooted, dark and wirey chin hairs most days then have to pluck after cos they're that tenacious, bastards. And now I need to address my peach fuzz on cheeks/side of face - it's blonde but plentiful.

I'm leaning towards a finishing touch flawless thing, but I'm scared that it'll make the peach fuzz turn into the sharp ended darker super glued into my skin hairs I've got on my chin/neck. Can anyone tell me whether their peach fuzz stayed peach fuzzy or got more hairlike please? The product reviews are mixed, some say stays peach fuzz some say turned into stubble. I really don't want to do something that will end up with me having to epilate and pluck dark stubborn hairs on my cheeks as well as my chin, I'd rather not start tackling it at all if that'll happen. Thank you!

There’s lots of devices on Amazon. Some swear by derma planing.

Yeah that's the kind of thing, I'm not sure I've got the hand eye coordination for using a straight razor! I was hoping someone might be able to tell me whether their peach fizz stayed peach fuzz or not.

I’ve got one of the cheap battery operated peach fuzz, it efficient and regrowth remained at the same texture, no stubble. If you have any coarser hairs, you’ll need to pluck, wax, get a specific gadget for them or electrolysis.

Ive been fighting face hair most of my life - PCOS , very thick coarse hair on lip and chin so peach fuzz, I leave alone

AFAIUI , peach fluff will always stay as peach fluff.

I use IPL now on the coarse dark hair, but at my age Ive a lot of coarse white hair which IPL wont touch so I use a dermablade for speed. When Im certain all dark hair has been well zapped I use a spring eliplator

Buy a reputable brand to start with, till you get the hang of using one, then you can buy own brands or unbranded from the internet. I suggest this because you will find out for yourself with use, when you have a good blade which only needs feather like stokes. A good blade should just glide across the skin. You hold it at around a 45 degree angle and just give short strokes working across the area needing treated

Ive a wee tiny tiny patch of super strong hair, I dont attack that unless Im well moisturised , I dont want the hair tugged and pulled

With dermablading how skilled do you have to be not to cut yourself though? I'm not very confident on that!

I use a little face razor, I have terrible hand eye coordination and I’m fine with it, you have to just figure out which way to hold it. The hair came back as peach fuzz within a few days, I didn’t even notice the regrowth, it was just suddenly there again! Also, the bits at the corner of my top lip felt a little stubbly but they didn’t look it and then they turned into soft hairs again.

I use an electric razor. It doesn't change the thickness or colour of the hairs that grow back.

I use Lumea for dark hairs and dermaplane for light ones.

Not very, they are safety blades. Thats not to say I havent nicked myself before - hence I now use on well moisturised skin. But they are pin head nicks, a wee bit of pressure applied and they stop soon enough

Hi Op . How are you getting in with the peach fuzz, did you find a good solution (asking for a friend!)

nothingcomestonothing · 09/12/2024 18:01

I went with the finishing touch flawless thing and it works on the peach fuzz!
