Super soft waisted leggings

I used to love the Boden leggings but they started going downhill a few years ago and are now completely unwearable for me.

I am desperate to find thick leggings with a very soft, wide waistband that doesn’t have a thin strip of elastic to dig in.

I’d like to be able to wear them with tunics so not the shiny gym wear kind.

I’ve in the past tried Fatface and Tu but the waistbands weren’t right for me.

I would be so grateful for some recommendations - my old ones are all baggy round the knees now!

A other vote for amazon "sinophant" high waisted, buttery soft leggings. I have 6 pairs! They last really well, don't go transparent and are super comfy.

The Amazon sinophant are soft and comfy, they aren't shiny, but they aren't thick and they do show lumps and bumps. I wear them to gym but not out, because I do have lumps and bumps.

I live in M&S Heatgen Plus in the winter, they tick all the boxes you listed. But they aren't available at the moment and I didn't see them for sale last winter either.

I bought the Amazon high waist buttery ones after them being recommended on this site. They really are lovely and so comfy.

Does anyone know if the Amazon sinophant ones are see through? I've got George and Primark leggings that I only wear for lounging because on a sunny day, you can see right through them! Are the Amazon ones like that too?

I tried the Sinophant and couldn’t wear them. I can’t quite remember the issue - I have a feeling it was the material!

I’ll have a look at the Next ones. I love M&S heatgen tops so the leggings might be good for the winter, if they bring them back!

They do have plain colours as well as crazy patterns and some with pockets

Seasalt do some organic cotton ones, thick, soft - with the wide waistband. Think they are called Sea Dance leggings. Different lengths too, although annoyingly the petite (which I need) always sell out!

A bit more expensive, but last well.

I find the Tesco F&F high waisted ones good. I'm usually a 14 but got the 16 and very comfy and legs not baggy.

I absolutely adore Llama leggings. They're high waisted, thick, soft and extremely stretchy. They come in a huge variety of great patterns as well as in plain colours. Best of all, one of the styles on offer has lovely deep pockets.

I have two pairs of these. Love them

I like the everyday leggings from Lovall (formally Love Leggings) although they do seem slightly different each time I buy them.

They are mostly cotton and feel a lot nicer to me than a lot of the synthetic options.

These might also fit the bill (they're maternity ones but built for non-maternity too and it means plenty of stretch and comfort)

Lands End! So comfy and keep their shape. Jeans are great too. And winter coats.

I absolutely need the soft wide waist band and like a stretch cotton leggings not synthetic feel and the only place I get them is Peacocks bizarrely. Don't last more than a season but I see them like cotton tights as they are cheap too.

Very happy as have just ordered a pair of very cute Bunny Blossom pattern Llama leggings in capri length & under £20 too.
