Clothes for flight

We have a flight to Spain in a couple of weeks and I'm keen to travel in something light that I can also wear on holiday. Every year I go in jeans and then they're never worn again! It would save some space in case if I could think of an outfit that would fit both purposes (holiday and flight) without looking like I'm off to the beach at the airport! Has anyone cracked this before and have any suggestions? TIA xx

Sounds like you've cracked your packing approach@hastalav and a trial run is a great idea! I took less clothes than you but mostly linen for the weather so tried to pack 'nicely' on the way out to lessen creases (daft idea really and didn't work!). So a few lessons learned but it was pretty liberating not pulling a wheelie case along.

I had the Cabin Max Vela which is a nice sturdy bag but I like the look of the side straps on your bag.

Linen trousers. Perfect for hot weather and soft and comfortable for a short flight. I always have a couple of pairs in white made every summer.

I would suggest either some light tapered or slim leg cropped non-crease trousers, top and cardigan or other light jacket .

You definitely don't want to be wearing jeans; it will be hot in Spain this time of year (assuming you are going somewhere South?) and at least mild in the UK.

I also agree about the wide leg trousers and toilets on planes being a bit dodgy (ie what if there's turbulence whilst someone's in there?!) but I've never found Spanish toilets to be any worse than in the UK so if you want to take some for evenings out they will be fine .
