Hair straighteners

I've always had frizzy hair, tried most products on the market and since hitting the Menopause the frizz seems to have got worse.

I very very rarely blow dry and only use straighteners, or any other heat devices when going out out, this used to tame the frizz, hair stayed straight for a good few days, now the hair goes straight but by the end of the day it's frizzy again, although my straighteners still seem to work fine I've had them for a while and think it's time for a change.

Has anyone got a recommendation for a reasonably priced pair that straighten the hair well...
Or any recommendations on how to tame the frizz..I use what I'd call decent hair products, shampoo, conditioner and a hair protection spray
Although my hair has got a bit thinner over the last few years my hairdresser says the hair is in good condition and no split ends so not a case of not treating it correctly.

For those old enough to remember the character Chrystal Tipps how can I stop my hair looking like hers?

Product ranges tried, all for frizz/smooth & sleek.....
John Frieda
TRESemmé
Pantene
Elvive
Aussie
Revlon FLEX, yellow, like back in the day.
Various hair masks with plastic bag covering hair for, well, not sure, but nothing to lose.
Argan oil from my hairdresser.

L'Oréal Steampod is really good. You can buy the older versions on EBay for a reasonable price.

I've bought some straighteners from Tymo and they're actually brilliant. My hair is thick and naturally wavy / frizzy, usually styling it is useless because it will revert to doing it's own thing after a few hours. The Tymo straighteners are quick and easy to use, give a natural looking frizz free result and it lasts for days

I LOVE mine- its the best hair tool I've ever bought, way better than ordinary straighteners.

Also- get yourself a kerasilk smoothing treatment - its amazing for frizz and it lasts 5 months or so- smooth silky hair. It also strengthens hair and makes it resilient. Please dont get it confused with Brazilian keratin treatment as that has formaldehyde and not the same thing at all.

Elvive glycolic gloss, use all 4 and it's incredible. From straw to silk.
