I'm confused, dermatica/skin & me

I've decided to give one of these two a go and have gone through the sign up process but, what's confusing me is they don't actually tell you what the ingredients or strength is in the product. Or do they? I'm I reading it wrong?
They both seem much the same, as in Tret, but what strength would I be getting?
I'm used to retinAl.
I primarily want it for lines and wrinkles (I'm 60). Would it actually work?
I'm using Medik 8 crystal at the moment, I "think" I can see an improvement but it could be wishful thinking.
Can anyone guide me on which one I should plump for and have you actually seen an improvement in lines?

I thought I'd add a couple of photos as progress on using Skin & Me. I'm on my first lot of Daily Doser so a very low % of Tret and didn't think I was seeing much difference yet, until I looked back and saw these pics.
They're taken 4 weeks apart. I'm sat in the same position both times with just minimum makeup, no foundation, just blusher and powder.
What do you think? I think I can see a difference, or am I just dreaming.
Sorry for the ultra closeups 😂

I don’t know what I’m looking at!

I tried this one and skin and me and they were both a load of rubbish.

How long did you try it for?

I used Dermatica for about 5 months and it changed my skin in just that time. All my repeating blackheads finally died off and haven’t come back. I stopped using it a year ago due to the cost unfortunately.

@Bignanna it's my cheek. If you click on the pics they expand

@twiddlingthumbs69 photo on the left shows age/sun spots.

Photo on the right shows wrinkles.

Without being rude, no lotion or potion is going to improve sagging or wrinkles.

You can fade or get rid of the dark spots.

You're better off seeing a dermatologist (not a beautician) than wasting money on creams, serums and lotions.

Saying that, I have used this and completely removed my sun spots either side of my face just above where my sunglasses sit.

@TheHuntSyndicate my point was that the first photo shows wrinkles. The second photo is a month later, showing less wrinkles. I realise that there is no "facelift in a bottle". I just wanted to show the improvement in my wrinkles using the tretinoin.

I can definitely see a difference, sun damage spots have almost disappeared and the skin texture looks a lot plumper now!

Ah, yes, I see now! Definitely an improvement in tone and reduction of sunspots. For myself, I noticed a reduction in fine lines around the mouth. Tretinoin is the only thing that actually makes a difference.

twiddlingthumbs69 · 12/07/2024 15:32

Ah good. Wasn't sure if it was just wishful thinking on my part

It's a long haul really
I've been using skin and me for about 4 years now

twiddlingthumbs69 · 12/07/2024 16:21

@spikeandbuffy have you seen a good improvement in your skin in that time?

OP posts:
spikeandbuffy · 12/07/2024 16:25

@twiddlingthumbs69 huge
My acne has gone. This is my skin now at 40 and my skin at 31 (now pic first)
I know everyone will say they're the same but that's kind of the point with a 9 year difference Grin

@spikeandbuffy wow! Your skin looks better now than it did then. That's amazing, your skin is beautiful

I've been using skin and me for 8 months and I can definitely see a difference. My skin is clear, no spots at all and more glowing as in you can see and feel the dead skin is gone. It feels soft and moisturised and not dry. I'm 44. I still have discolouration but I am very happy with my skin.

Turboislander · 12/07/2024 17:00

Love seeing these before and after photos. I did the online consultation with Skin + Me yesterday (got asked a lot more questions than when I tried with Dermatica so feel a bit happier about that). Curious to see what they will recommend and how I get on.

twiddlingthumbs69 · 12/07/2024 17:16

@Turboislander fun isn't it! At last, something that works. I'm still on my first skin and me daily dozer so I'm on a tiny % of Tret at the moment.
Hope you get on with yours ok. Keep us posted
