All the curel cleansers are nice. What kind of cleanser are you looking for and what kind of budget?

Superdrug vitamin E hot cloth cleanser is about a fiver. It's lovely.
N7 balm cleanser
Sali Hughes balm
CeraVe oil cleanser

I like all of this and have dry skin. Cleanser should be budget by definition, it's not on the skin long enough for any of the essence of this, and extract of that to do anything. Cleanser just needs to get the muck off essentially.

Waitrose Pure Cream Cleanser is really nice.

Cerave hydrating cleanser

damp flannel & any old moisturiser.

Coconut oil and a warm damp face cloth, muslin cloth or damp cotton wool to remove the oil. Almond oil would also do the same job. Rub a small amount of oil into your dry face, massage around then use the damp cloth to remove all makeup (along with the oil) including eye makeup.

What's your budget?

Forgot to add Lidl, Aldi and Asda sell own brand coconut oil for around £2.00 per jar, a jar lasts me months. I use it as a body and face moisturizer too!

Be careful with this one as it can cause drain blockages, especially coconut oil.

I've used coconut oil in small amounts for years and not had a problem with drain blockages, maybe I've just been lucky as coconut oil does set very hard in cold weather. 😀

My bathroom plumbing is rubbish unfortunately and reflects your username 😳

I really like the Beauty Bay Vitamin C & Niacinamide Cleansing Gel

poetryandwine · 25/06/2024 07:44

Seconding CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. One of the few that doesn’t leave my face red. Also Aveeno Calm and Restore (?) but in terms of unit pricing it is a bit more expensive, still reasonable

dudsville · 25/06/2024 07:49

I'm currently trying to step back from the really expensive cleansers. Balm cleansers are great for dry skin and there are a lot out there. I'm currently trying the Inky List's one and it's no frills but good. The one from The Ordinary is somehow even less no frills but also fine.
