Quality really dropping everywhere. Where's reliably good for quality and style?

Where's left for quality women's clothing that's in fashion, and ideally not the worst of fast fashion? Just sent a whole & Other Stories order back: hideous thin, cheap, creased stuff mostly made out of polyamide or viscose.
M&S is good but never stock anything in size 6 or 8.

I know that since Covid shut down a lot of factories in South Asia, it's been harder to get quality cotton and therefore clothing. Where are your hidden gems?

I haven't found anywhere completely reliable but lean towards Toast and Jigsaw for better quality. Also John Lewis own brands if you stick to natural fabrics.

Have a look at Oysho - I’ve only ever bought exercise wear from them (which is great) but they do a lot of linen shirts and trousers etc which I was eyeing up the other day.

I just ordered a dress from AYM, made in the UK. Not arrived yet so can’t feed back on quality !

Try Massimo Dutti, Cos and Arket. I agree & other stories seems to have gone down hill, their designs seem to be a bit too mad at the moment. You could also try H&Ms premium range.

I was going to say all three of these. Arket in particular are very clear about the fabric composition. They do lots of cotton and linen.

I've not bought anything other than jeans in a few years now. Nothing seems to be cotton, either that or their shapeless sacks.

I bought a pair of white linen trousers (100% linen) from h&m and they were so see through I returned them.

Bizarrely, I've had a some good cotton stuff Tu at Sainsbury's. Also Crew Clothing.

Cos and Arket - I just got some fabulous pieces from there - rocking their trousers and ballet pumps today

Peacock often have cotton items and TBH the quality is OK.

I've found Patras Silk has very good quality and is usually natural fabrics but don't expect high fashion, I have a couple of dresses from them
