How can this be corrected

Hi, please be kind as I'm so upset and don't really know what to do or how to approach this.

These pics were taken the day after, but to be fair on the person, I didn't initially notice a problem as it had been styled in such a way that it wasn't obvious. My child made a comment so I took a closer look.

How can this be corrected, without me losing (too much) length, whilst at the same time making it look like an actual style?

It won't lie straight and it's thicker/longer on one side than the other.

Please help!

Hairdresser should have explained to you that it will need to be styled - are you up for doing any styling or using heated tools?

If not, go back to hairdresser (or another one), and explain you need something low maintenance. They may be able to even it out and/or you may have some awkward ‘in between’ time while it grows. I know it’s sickening, but hair grows quickly! Lovely colour also.

Ah thank you, I've lost sight of the whole thing with the cut being the way it is.

I've had this type of style previously and have all the 'tools' for styling. However, I've tried everything I've got and it just looks a mess and definitely not like I've spent the best part of £100 on it!

I think evening it all out is the best way for now, as well as lots of patience!

It is a really gorgeous colour. The cut is a bit hard to understand. Could you scrunch it up with some product and go for tousled?

Appleblum · 24/06/2024 14:12

The layers need to be blended in alot more... right now it looks like step cuts. Is that a deliberate look you wanted?

But a good stylist should be able to correct the layers without losing too much length.

How kind. Thank you very much.

I hadn't actually thought of that. I'll definitely be giving it a try.

No, that was definitely not the look that I asked for.

Last time I had this type of style it was more gradual/gentle and very easy to style.
