Looking for a perfume - woody, pepper

Please help! I have spent a long time trying out different perfume samples recently but so far I have not found the one or even narrowed it down to a few. I know what I don't like - I don't like sweet, heavy scents, nothing with vanilla or rose. I used to like Chanel Chance 15 years ago, but a bit bored of it and it is no longer hitting the spot. I am drawn to woody scents and love pink pepper. I would stick with Molton brown Fiery pink pepper, but it lasts for an hour max and evaporates. I don't mind floral, just not too heavy or too classic.
If you like woody or peppery scents, what is your go to perfume?

Tam Dao by Diptyque and Timbuktu by L'Artisan Parfumeur are my favourite woody scents.

I used to also wear Chanel Chance and Molton brown. My currents are now jo malone wood sage and sea salt, Diptique - Fleur de peau and santal 33

We have similar tastes- I adore Santal 33 and fleur de Peau … although the longevity is fairly low on my skin for the latter (much better on skin) I love woody and iris scents but they’re not really spicy

@Iamtarticus & @Bohomovies I will have a look at Liz Earle No 15.
@CharlotteBog I tried it and it is lovely - but looking for something longer lasting.
@Itsbeenabadday & @WannabeHealthier I order a few samples from Floral Street (arrived so quickly) and really like Arizona Bloom! I also got sunflower pop which is very light and fresh and black lotus (smoky, heavy but a bit addictive!) Good idea about Covent Garden trip - I will be in London next week.
@SGsling I sniffed a few Hermes ones but not that one - thanks!
@Ginmonkeyagain never heard of either, will look into both brands.

I have not mentioned everyone but took note of each recommendation. Thanks again! Saved me hours of research. 😁
