Interview clothes in the heat?

I've got a job interview on Thursday - forecast says it will be 27C (but 'feels like' 29C). My usual interview garb is wide leg trousers with a plain t-shirt and a smart jacket, and chunky loafers. I'm going to swelter in that, esp. as a fairly sweaty gal. Should i just forgo the jacket? Or could I get away with culottes and a loose top, with ballet flats instead of the loafers? I'm just over six foot tall so i don't usually wear heels for work. It's not a very corporate employer - a nature charity - so I assume that they might have a non-suity office.

Wear your jacket in, then remove it. Go thin top but not see through.

Waistcoats are fashionable. Less hot than a jacket but still tailored.

So maybe wide legged trousers with matching waistcoat in a light colour, thin shell top and structured ballet flats.

That does sound like a nice alternative.

Could you wear tailored linen trousers and linen shirt instead? Much cooler than other office type clothes.

I've never had much success with waistcoats I think due mostly to my ample chest - but i do love the idea. I bought a lovely pinstripe waistcoat in the spring but my DD (18) said I looked rather butch so I've never worn it.

Haven't got much time to find linen trousers that are long enough, trousers are always a PITA with a 35" inside leg (not intended to be braggy!). I can probably find a linen shirt to go with existing trousers though.

Am I'm right in thinking that toes on show is a no-no? I've got loads of nice birkenstock style sandals, but not interview-appropriate?

What are structured ballet flats?

These are structured ballet flats:

I'd walk there in flip flops and no jacket. Change shoes just around the corner. Have jacket over your arm and put it on if it's cool or formal once you are inside.

I do have a solution actually, very much practical over pretty though LOL. You'll have to give me a minute.

I like these for professional scenarios. They're slightly pricey but good for sweat when worn with something light (I'm a boring shirt wearer)

(I find that looking sweaty in an interview makes me look nervous see)

Kind Regards
