I'm 5ft 7, chubby (well fat!) 14 and a half stone... and need a dress for my ds graduation in July at Canterbury Cathedral.

I like this dress, but not sure a) where to get it, and b) would it look good on a dumpy 53 year old woman?

It’s a Staud Jackson dress. I searched the image.

I think it will look lovely on you. Track it down and try it on 🙂

Wow, thank you Flowers

I'll have a look on vinted

The photo has the name of the dress in it! It's nice.

I wore something very similar in Durham cathedral last year, but from Anthropologie. Perfect for a sunny day with sitting/standing.

Puppylucky · 23/06/2024 12:09

I don't think you're going to find it on vinted unfortunately as it's a bit niche. It doesn't look like they sell that particular style any more but this is very similar

Outonaledge · 23/06/2024 14:44

Yeah, that's the one.

Out of my budget, hoping not to spend more than £50

This Boden dress isn't a million miles away https://www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/eve-linen-midi-dress-black/sty-d0849-blk

This marks and Spencer one is similar - but lacks sleeves

Just make sure you wear good shoes. There's a lot of walking up and down the (cobbled in places) high street for graduation and you may have a reception to attend at a different venue, lots of standing up. No heels is my advice.

It's more than twice the OP's budget.

These are a bit similar. Still over £50 but not by much.

I need more of an Aline I think, as I'm way over weight at the moment
