Braces to make composite bonding more comfortable?

I want to get composite bonding but my dentist says it might be uncomfortable because, and I can't remember how she put it but basically there's not a big overhang when I bite (my upper and lower teeth are quite close together when I bite). Could I get braces to push my lower teeth back or would they not do that for something like this? I asked this on another thread but was hoping to get a few more opinions. My teeth are just so yellow and whitening has been a great disappointment. I can see very little difference at all even when done professionally or with those crest strips from the states.

Veneers would be better and longer lasting

But they file your teeth down and that just feels wrong. I want to still have my real teeth just in case.

They don’t file them down- that’s what they do as preparation for crowns. They roughen the surface of your teeth so that the veneers will stick to them.

in the majority of cases some enamel is removed for veneers . The other problem if the bite is traumatic then veneers will break , the same way composite bonding will break.

OP braces will not move your lower teeth back, the likelyhood is all of your teeth would need to be moved to change the bite , however no one can say for sure without seeing you , your teeth and your study models of your teeth.

Thanks, my own dentist doesn't like bonding for some reason and always recommends veneers but it did sound like there would be more than removing a bit of enamel from the front of the tooth.
