Do you change your lipstick colour when you have a tan?

I have pale skin, auburn/chestnut hair and over the years I've worked out that my skin has cool undertones. So I generally really love deep coloured lipsticks as the contrast with my pale skin looks good, i know to ask for shades with cool or even blue undertones. I've found a favourite Clarins one recently that's great.

However. I'm getting married in 6 weeks and just had a trial spray tan and make up trial. I brought my favourite lipstick as the mua said I'd need to have my own anyway for touch up throughout the day. It didn't look dreadful, but it just didn't look the way it normally does. The tan was only light, the lightest they do, so it was subtle. But I think it changed the tone of my skin enough so that the same lipstick just isn't right.
Does anyone else find that a tan means they don't suit the same make up colours?
If I go shopping for a new colour what do I ask for? Will I actually need to ask for shades with a warm undertone now?
Anyone experience this before?

I have warm undertones but am high contrast like you.

When I am pale I suit a dark or rich red lipstick, that’s about it.

When I have a tan I suit a l sheer warm pink gloss with golden tones, or a sort of sheer light caramel colour. At that point I also suit a rosy or coral lip stain with a clear gloss.

So a theme of that is going for sheer rather than opaque to let the natural colour of my lips show more. So if I were you I would try sticking to cool or neutral tones, but making the consistency lighter.

So has you have cool tones, perhaps a sheer pink or mauve with silver shimmer, a dusky pink or even a slightly berry stain?

In summer pinks, fuchsia, berry and peachy brown look better on me. The dark reds and brown I wear in winter don’t look as good.

I'd skip the tan and wear the lippy I love.

Never even thought about it before but I do gravitate towards darker plummy colors in winter... not sure if that's a tan thing or more a seasonal colours thing.
