Canvas style shoes, thin soles

Does anyone know the kind of shoes I mean, a very relaxed style. I’ve seen similar in Shameless and I’m sure other tv shows, especially on young, poorer kids.

Some Vans don't have white soles, there are about a million kinds. They can be found surprisingly cheaply on Vinted.

If you're feeling like splashing the cash, I've just bought a pair of Vivobarefoot vegan Magnas (surprisingly expensive even on Vinted 😱 But my walking boots were starting to cause me severe pain the moment my feet got hot, so...). They are canvas and rubber and light as a feather, with a thin yet durable "barefoot" sole. They're supposed to be suitable "from city to summit" (I certainly hope so for the price!).

I like the Toms ones. There’s just something about cheap canvas shoes that makes me think of beach holidays and messing around on boats.

No, I meant lace ups with rubber soles. Thinking about it, I probably did mean the old fashioned gym shoes. I hope that doesn’t encourage the P-troll…
