Please report in as succinctly as possible- i know the effecitiveness can't be measured in a few weeks but i am really curious to see what people thought.

Please include brand name and price and a link if possible.

Elemis Body sculpting Lipo- Refining Serum
Unfortutately, I think the postman had a quick go of this as it took ages to arrive so my results are preliminary only but the blurb wiht it is intersting too. Most anti celluite creams use caffeine in them but not this one (who wants more caffeine in our bodies?) This instead uses sea marine extracts.

It's a cool( yes really quite chilly) pale orange gel cream that is very quickly absorbed into the skin with a fantastic aroma and feels tightening straight away. You follow it with the body firming cream here wiht an equally clean smell , must be the orange petal, that is sucked into your skin before you look, so it wouldn't be a hassle to apply in a hurry. certainly no waiting around before you can dress.

The results take 4 weks to manifest themselves so watch this space.
For a luxury cream- fantastic....

Vichy Lipo-Metric cream

Apparently you need to use for a month to see results. But it is a nice smelling easy to use cream. Not greasy at all and you can get dressed straight after using.Helpful directions on the inside of the box with massaging techniques which take a while to do.
I'll old judgement until the month is up but for £20 I'm not sure I'd buy unless there was a marked change.

Physonics - SkinGenuity

Like the other products - you need 4-8 weeks to see results..but in the meantine I can say that the minty smell is gorgeous and it goes on beautifully. The USP is that it permeates the skin in a more effective way
" in a recent study,..it was demonstrated that the Ethosomes sytem was up to 700% vmore effective at delivering the acvtive ingredients.

OMG I have just found out that it cost £40 a tube...I will be watching with eagle eyes to see any improvement at all..teh website is very encouraging though!

Depending on results in 4 weeks.... at this stage I'd give it 8/10

Finbar · 07/04/2008 18:25

oh yes - and NO massaging needed too - result!

Like Finbar I have been using the Physonics Skingenuity and I am very pleasantly surprised by it. I will declare myself to be a cynic about most beauty products but this seems to be effective. In just a week I have noticed an improvement, albeit a small improvement, my arse derrière seems to be smoother.

The fragrance is light and vaguely minty which gives the cream a reassuringly quasi-pharmaceutical feeling. Most importantly for me, you can dress immediately after applying it and you don't have to massage it in. If you did have to massage it in I would suspect that it was the massage, not the 'ethosomes' that makes the difference.

Now the price - well it is around the 40 quid mark atm BUT that is half price and I seem to be using lots of it. So I am thinking that this is not something that I will be incorporating into my life on the long term (and I want to know if my cellulite will come back when I stop using it)

That said, I think it is probably worth the investment if you want to shape up and smooth out for the bikini season. It is expensive but it has a low faff score and seems to work.

ditto Carmenere - bit less orange peely, slightly more pert tangerine after a few weeks. Cream applies nicely, disappears in seconds so you don't stick to your clothes. T'is v pricey, but will see how thighs fare by end of the tube before making decision to buy more.

taliac · 09/04/2008 13:01

am watching with great interest, any more from anyone?

Ooops sorry for delay.
I have been testing Garnier Anti-Cellulite Rollerball.

This is very easy to use -the rollerball massages the serum into the skin.
The serum contains caffeine and citrus extract.
It says should reveal results after eight days, I've been using for five days and my tester right thigh feels smoother than my left thigh.
After 14 days it claims that skin should feel firmer.
The smell was a bit overpowering initially but I soon got used to it.
Seems like good value at around £6.99.

ahem cod- I'm also sacrificing left thigh at the altar of scientific research!

MummyPenguin · 09/04/2008 17:16

Gok tested loads on the last series of HTLGK. Well, not him personally, lady testers. The one that came out top is Nivea's Goodbye Cellulite. It's £9.99 but can occasionally be found on offer. I use it. I think it does make a bit of a difference (and my cellulite is awful.) However, to see results in about 4 weeks, it says to use every day which I don't.

AVON CELLU-SCULPT

intro
This product helps to improve the whole silhouette; you are advised to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day and to take exercise.

There is little product information either on the website or the packaging?.no pseudo scientific promises (some people like up beat prophetic blurb?but not me)

It is modestly priced at £12 and doesn?t come with unnecessary packaging.

method
I tested avon cellu sculpt for seven days on one thigh.

i drink a litre of water a day, however I do no formal exercise but do walk quite a lot. (I am breast feeding?which I think is making me more lumpy)

In addition to this I am 37, about a stone over weight and have serious/criminal/profound cellulite

results
The cream feels lovely, smooths on nicely, stays feeling nice for the duration of the massage and importantly leaves skin clean to the touch,FRAGRANT and feeling lovely (There is a mild and pleasant chilly sensation) so far so lovely. oh and you get plenty of it?200ml.

The packaging is convenient?can top up with one hand mid massage?it didn?t leak into the lid?it isn?t messy like a ketchup bottle/sunscreen/whatever.

conclusion/summary /findings
After six days use (massaging twice a day for five minutes into problem area) to say that it 'hasnt noticably' helped to improve my silhouette at this stage is true. however this no frills cream did have it?s work cut out. i am sufficiently impressed to try it on a less blighted area tosee if it can take the edge of more noticeably.

interpretation
I think this cream could be very popular amonst those women who have mild/emerging cellulite and relatively young skin (under 35)

Cod im sorry that this cod took so long for me to get around to posting.
thanks for ?thigh hunting? me
