I have 2 postage options, evri and inpost. With inpost, I have always had a scanable code to use at the lockers. So basically, all digital. I sold 2 items yesterday and both have come through with a printable label. I don’t have a printer. I could do it at work tomorrow but is this a new thing? Has anyone else found the same?

I think I’ve just worked it out. Both are shipping to home so I suspect that’s why as both labels show their home address.

You need to go into your postage settings and disable the option for printable labels so people can’t pick it in the future.

Thanks. I have switched that toggle off.

I have just started selling on Vinted but confused with Inpost, I printed labels which was fine for a couple but for the ones with the code do you scan it and then just put it in the locker that opens? I was expecting the machine to print me out a label to attach.

Was too wary to put an unlabelled parcel in the locker - does whoever collects it put a label on it?

If so would it not be very easy for parcels to get mixed up.

Had a look in the Inpost page but have a cold and splitting headache today and just need someone to tell me - I’m sure I’m being stupid and missing something!

Also if there are no small or medium lockers available can you put it on in a large one or will you get charged extra?

Was delighted over the weekend to have quickly sold a few items but now getting a bit stressed 🤣

@Back21970 yes for InPost you just put the parcel in the locker no label needed or printed. It’s marvellous!

@Back21970 with Inpost you scan your code and select the size parcel, a locker pops open and you put it in and close it up, no need to print anything.

You won’t get charged more for a larger locker, it’s pre paid.

I use the InPost lockets all the time. No labels goes on the package (until the collector comes, that is!) so you scan the QR code Vinted send you at the machine and then select the size locker you need...it opens, pop it in, shut the door and that's it! Never had a problem x

Thanks to everyone, really helpful.

I am obviously being over cautious 🤣 However used to use Royal Mail for Ebay selling and had so many things go missing I’m probably naturally sceptical.

Another daft question though, if Inpost then did mix parcels up and the seller got the wrong one would it be their responsibility?

I did once get a child’s jacket when I ordered something completely different and was told I had to send it back as it was not as described - I assumed it was the sellers error but now wondering.

It was only a couple of quid so I didn’t return it and was charged the full amount.

I had a mix-up once on a parcel where InPost add the label when they collect it from the locker. They asked me for photos of the codes on the label and then refunded me, and paid the buyer. I assume that meant that the error was theirs.

They didn't seem interested in finding out who my parcel should have been for, or finding mine though .
