Airstrait for fine curly hair - what’s the verdict?

I’ve given up with straighteners for about a year now as well as no more Kerastraight treatments my hair in finally growing! I’d like to grow it long but previously through drying and straightening, it stops before it gets to my shoulders. I’ve embraced the curls - However my hair can be crazy!! I’d love to be able to mix it up and wear it straight sometimes but want to protect my hairs strength (it’s fairly dry and the last thing I want to do is make it more fragile)

the aitstrait appeals but as I have curly dry hair, I’d love to know how those that have had them for a while are getting in and if they would suit me.

Have a look on the website if there's a demo store near you, where you can try it first? I have very thick long hair, naturally very frizzy wavy but not ringlet curls, I think it straightens mine very well and does a good job at refreshing next day hair.

I’ve not tried the airstrait, though did spend a lot of time looking at it. I ended up going with the steampod, and I’m so pleased with it. It’s totally tamed my wild, frizzy hair in a way my GHDs never could.
With the GHDs I could never get it truly straight and any sign of dampness in the air it would revert to frizz. With the steam pod, I only have to run over once and then I have shiny straight hair for days that even copes with a bit of rain.

Ooh @NorthFaceofthelaundrypile thats a good shout - how does it do with maintain your hair’s condition? I try now not to blow dry or straighten as it’s the only way my hair will grow

I’ve only had it a couple of months, so far so good.
I let my hair air dry the night before, then section and straighten in the morning with heat protection spray. They claim it’s better for your hair… for me the fact I only have to run the plates over each section once makes a difference.
it also has three different heat settings.

I’m just so conscious of not wanting to ruin the growth but my hair is insane! So although it’s air not hot plates, it still feels as if it would be drying with an airstrait?
