Does such a thing exist? How do you reapply suncream throughout the day and still wear make up if out and about all day? Thanks!

La Roche Posay do a handbag size anthelios spray

I'll check it out! Thank you. I have a few hot city holidays coming up so no beach bag to shove big bottles in!

Most liquid foundation contains an SPF.

I was going to say this, both of mine are SPF15.

Careful with these, I tried one last year (not cheap either, a brand from Space NK) and came out in the worst allergy I’ve ever had! Never again!

I use this as well
It’s good - doesn’t aggravate my eyes and very easy to apply

purplemunkey · 06/06/2024 09:51

SPF15 is not enough protection. 30 or above is recommended.

Yes! So many sunscreens sting my eyes. That’s one of the reasons I like this one - it feels gentle.

Another vote for the La Roche Posay one - it's amazing and feels like nothing.

Please don't rely on this. Spf in foundation and moisturiser is basically just a bit of a sales gimmick. It does not have enough spf in to protect your skin. You need a separate spf, especially if you use actives like AHA/BHA/VitC/Retinol

Thanks all - great to have options! Will start with a handbag one - great idea

The one I use from Boots Protect and Perfect range is SPF50. Which when out and about walking seems to be sufficient. If I sunbath then no make up and full sun screen is used.

I second the Hawaiian Tropic mineral spf30 powder for top ups during the day but it is quite light in colour. I've also switched to a once a day spf that lasts for 8 hours. The boots no.7 spf50 one is good value, but makes your face super shiny! I let it settle for 15mins and it's fine once make up is on.

GettingStuffed · 07/06/2024 00:09

As long as it's 30+ then the SPF in moisturiser is enough. You may need to reapply but you do that with sunscreen too.
