How do you groom your eyebrows?

I’m just looking for a bit more shape to them really. They’re ok but need a tidy up (haven’t had them waxed in years!) and not v well practised at tweezing. Going out with friends in a couple of weeks and just want to look a bit more “together” but struggling to find time for a wax. Can be prone to dermatitis on brows so am a bit nervous about waxing.

If there are any easy-ish at home eyebrow styling kits anyone is aware of, please let me know! TIA xx

Have you thought of a bit of dye to help with the grooming? You can do it in salon or at home very easily.

Definitely do a patch test first though.

If your skin is too sensitive use an eyebrow pencil or pen but I'd experiment with shades and techniques first.

My eyesight isn't great for tweezes these days (hence I salon wax) but a tip for tweezing is a really good magnifying mirror and good light source and pop on bongella or calgel type cream as a little local anaesthetic beforehand. Then you can do a really good job without worrying so much about pain. Although I know some frown on plucking.

Thank you very much @tobee ❤️

I usually get mine threaded then watch them carefully and keep them in the same shape between visits.

WhyamInotvomiting · 05/06/2024 20:13

Go and get them threaded, ask for recommendations for a good salon/threader. Tell the beautician clearly what you want doing, so if you just want a tidy and nothing else off then be clear about that.

Threading!! Would you believe I forgot that was an option. Got it done around 10 yrs ago and loved it, thank you ladies 😁xx

I get mine threaded every 4 weeks or so.

WhodoVoodoo · 06/06/2024 18:14

I stand in front of a mirror with a pair of tweezers and wince and sneeze in equal measure.

iateallthebiscuits · 06/06/2024 18:14

Most Superdrug stores do threading- as well as some Primark stores too!

iateallthebiscuits · 06/06/2024 18:15

And I also tint my own brows using the Eylure dark brown tint. Good luck x

stressedespresso · 06/06/2024 18:17

Honestly - just go for the wax/thread. It takes 15 mins max and then they’re done perfectly + you won’t have to worry about them. I don’t risk doing my own brows!

Trainday · 06/06/2024 18:19

I pop into Superdrug and have them threaded when I'm passing.

How exactly do you do that? I tint my own eyelashes using Eyelure and a lot of vasaline as a barrier, to stop it staining my skin, but doesn't it have to get on your skiin if you're doing brows?

Penelope1703 · 06/06/2024 18:25

I had mine micro bladed a few years ago and now I just dye them once a month to keep up the shape and definition. Every day I use a dark eye gel.

ataloss24 · 06/06/2024 18:26

Brow lamination with a wax and tint x

iateallthebiscuits · 06/06/2024 19:43

@Trainday I use the specific eyebrow one- it's a lot easier and less messy than the eyelash dye.

Overtheatlantic · 06/06/2024 19:45

Definitely brow lamination or brow lamentation as I call it sometimes xx

Shoes232 · 06/06/2024 19:57

Invest in a wax and tint, I also get an eyelash tint. It changes my whole face

watermelonsugar56 · 07/06/2024 22:36

Thank you everyone xx
