Alternatives to Driclor

Looolaaa · 30/05/2024 17:07

I have the age old problem of seriously sweaty underarms.

Have tried Driclor but it’s hideous. Followed the instructions to the letter but it still stung so bad.

Does anyone have any alternatives? Im not looking for a regular deodorant recommendation but some sort of treatment.

I am sure I remember someone mentioning one from America that wasn’t as stingy as Driclor?

Thanks!

I used it once and never again, took weeks for my underarms to recover.

I've just got Carpe lotion, it wasn't cheap but 2 days in, I'm quite impressed with it. I'm a bigger gal that sweats a lot, and I came back this morning from my power walk with the dogs expecting to need to use more but I was bone dry. Early days, but positive so far. https://uk.mycarpe.com/products/underarm?variant=39774957535365 Just a warning though that it ships from the states, and took about 12 days to arrive. They do sell on Amazon but I was concerned that it wouldn't be genuine as I've had a few duds from there recently....

I wonder if that’s the one I saw mentioned. Have you posted about it on other threads?

The Driclor is horrific. I don’t know how they’re allowed to sell it.

Thank you, btw!

Odaban is good, and I don't find it stings. You can get it from amazon.

Funnily enough, I saw it recommended on a thread on here so gave it a go. I've also tried Secret clinical strength which is a US deodorant stick but it didn't work on me at all, and cost £22 from Amazon!

Perspirex isn’t as bad. It still itches like crazy, but only while it’s actually on you, not days after washing it off. And I don’t know exactly how it works, but I used it twice a few months ago when I felt like my usual deodorant wasn’t cutting it, and those two goes did the job- haven’t felt the need for it again.

The only one that works for me is the Sure sport (stick version). I always shower last thing at night, put it in and rarely sweat.

I second Odaban. I now use it twice a week, I haven't noticed BO in a long time.

Thank you all!

Is the odaban one you put on at night? I’ve never got on with roll on/stick deo.

Tip to avoid the stinging is to get some baby powder. Once you've dried your skin, dust with powder to take off any residual moisture.

I might give that a try since I have the Driclor here. Will need to get some baby powder though. Thanks for that tip.

Going through the same. Any updates on this?
