Very fair foundation, hydrating, non comodogenic?

Looking for the above but often foundations are a bit too deep. I remember getting matched at no7 and even their palest looked muddy. Anyone know of a (not too expensive) brand that does fair very well? Not matte, due to already dry skin.

Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue
N7 Hydraluminous
Erborian BB (shades might be too limited though- I love this, but can only wear it in summer in the lightest shade- I'm a Calico in N7 and a NC01 in Estée Lauder)

I'm very pale Laura Mercier real flawless foundation is my go to.
It's a skin like finish, layers well with other products and the colour range is really broad

The EL one named above is lovely but as a fellow ghost I could never get a shade pale enough for me.

Having been a high end foundation girl for decades I recently got a sample of the new revolution skinsilk foundation and really like it for the price. Since the sample I’ve purchased two bottles. The shade range is great too. I have extremely dry skin and it seems to work well. It apparently has hyalauranic acid.

I can wear No7 shade Fair. There's a Hydraluminous Fair . It comes in the squarer tube. The Hydraluminous one in the longer tube is too dark. Light is too dark, as are Calico and Porcelain.

I find Max Factor really good for light shades. I'm the lightest which I think is called Fair also. They do a nice serum one which is moisturising.

DD is super pale and has tried loads at all price points. Her main problem is that almost everything's too orange and drying for her, but she rates Rimmel Lasting Finish in Pearl. Has SPF, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

I'm sure it was calico that I got matched to (several years back) but actually on the skin it was too dark.
I'll look again at hydraluminous - they do tend to change the range of shades now and again.
Interested to look at the revolution one too, is it the serum foundation? @iamabbyleemiller

This is precisely my issue.

Some great suggestions here. I'd prefer to swatch stuff rather than buy online so need it to come from a boots or superdrug really.

Yes, this one here. I’m currently using F1 which is pale enough for me but there’s an F0.5 too.

Very fair foundation, hydrating, non comodogenic?

Found the closest match to be el doublewear in porcelain (££££!) Got some samples though I'm now reading that it cam be drying? I thought the skinsilk in f1 was pretty good but possibly the 0.5 would be worth looking for. Certainly a better price! With hyaluronic acid though, isn't it supposed to go on damp skin to give the acid water to adhere to or it'll draw it out of your skin? I can't understand it in foundation if that's the case.?

Not porcelain, alabaster! If anyone know of a match which is hydrating, I'm all ears!

My sister and I are really fair skinned she has neutral undertones and I have pink undertones, dry/combo skin and we both got colour matched and have been using NARS sheer glow.

I find it really hydrating without being shiny and lasts all day, it is around the £30 mark however have been using it for months and a little goes a long way and I’m super happy with the results so for me it’s worth the investment. I think you can get colour matched at any counter I went to selfridges and they allowed me to try all the different variations of foundations on to see which finish I preferred x

No7 do a Creme now in some of their foundations which is paler than Calico. I like their stick foundation. Calico always looked grey on me, lots of palest shades look orange on me.

eileandubh · 26/05/2024 17:58

I really don't rate the Boots 'colour matching' - I was matched to Calico when everywhere else I'm much paler and pinker.

Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin is good and comes in a broad spectrum of tones/undertones.

It's not a foundation but try Bare Minerals complexion rescue range in opal. I used their tinted moisturiser and found coupled with their concealer in the bits needed the pigment was actually enough for me instead of a foundation.

Because it was non-comedogenic and light and nourishing it really helped my skin generally and sorted out years of skin breakouts

Stickycurrantbun · 26/05/2024 19:21

I'm pale and have found a good match with Bare Minerals BarePro

Nowdontmakeamess · 26/05/2024 19:58

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is great. It is pricey buts it lasts me ages as I mix it 50:50 with a spf 30/50 sunscreen so it gives a more natural, sheer coverage & blends really well.
