Stripless waxing

Hello ladies,

Any of you ladies have experience with waxing?

In an attempt to try to save some money, I bought a tresswellness waxing kit of Amazon, to do my own waxing at home. It comes with everything you need as a beginner.

Since I am a complete newbie at this, the waxing took ages but got there eventually. I did remove the hairs and left my skin smooth. However the hairs came back after only 3 days 😭. At my waxing lady, the hairs would be away for a good 2 weeks!

what am I doing wrong? Is this normal with hot wax? I do exfoliate 3-4 times a week as well to help with the waxing.

Tia

Does your beautician use stripless wax? I'd have thought traditional waxing might catch more of the small hairs because you press it down when applying the strip. I've got a traditional kit and it works as expected, though it's a right gooey mess when I do the backs of my own legs 😬

Leg hairs grow on a six-week cycle so, if you'd left it for some time since your last waxing, you will need to do it frequently for a couple of months.

I imagine you didn’t fully pull them out at the root and rather snapped them off. I get the strip less hot wax done and she is always checking each strip to see if she can see the roots

Remember your waxer probably has been through training and has a lot of experience. It’s also a lot easier for her to see exactly what is going on.

I haven't actually done my legs professionally. I only go to my wax lady for Hollywood and then she uses a mix of hot wax and stripless hot wax. I did just just order a strip wax and see how it goes!

I imagine that's what's going on as well. Some parts of my legs are not hairy, just some small patches. I am going to give the strip wax a go and see how it goes
