Aveeno Alternatives?

I've used Aveeno on my eczematous, scaly skin all over my body for probably about twenty years now and love it but the latest price rises and shrinkflation (why are the big bottles now so small!?) have pushed me over the edge. Does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives for similarly dry, sensitive skin?

I know boots have an oat range now and I've tried it but it wasn't as good and any other oat creams I find are about the same price. I've considered buying vats of doublebase or similar from the pharmacy and then mixing in my own ground oats but I reckon they'd go mouldy in days. So has anyone found a miracle replacement that doesn't actually cost more? Thank you!

I second the idea of someone from US or Canada bringing it back if you can - I know more about Canada than US, but in Canada at least there are so many more Aveeno products available, from shampoos and baby soaps to bath soaks and different types and sizes of creams and lotions etc. And I think it's likely cheaper, too, as it's sold widely.

Try Aveeno Dermexa Baby. I think it's cheaper than the adult range I think.

Thank you for this thread, I wouldn;t have seen this otherwise .

I hope it works for her (and for me!)

I LOVE MooGoo. It's amazing for my dry scaly skin, has a lovely smell and they sell it at Holland and Barrets. Costs slightly more but don't mind as it feels like a treat

Agree with the pp who suggested finding someone with a Costco card. It's £15/litre (2 x 500ml bottles).

In case anyone is still looking for a good alternative to aveeno I've found that Epimax Oatmeal is great (apologies to the earlier poster who suggested it, I didn't realise there was oatmeal version). It's pretty cheap and comes in a much better bottle than aveeno so you don't get the problem with nothing coming out of the pump when there's still 25% left. It was out of stock everywhere for ages so I didn't update the thread as there was no point if it had been discontinued but it seems to be back now.

Castor oil I've used for my daughters dry skin and it's cleared it up brilliantly. Her skin is so smooth now
