Where can I find flattering, slouchy type mac/jacket for spring?

I am quite straight up and down and have finally worked out that I need a mac/jacket which is soft/slouchy, ie nothing structured and has to be single breasted too.
Also I need some colour - navy/purple/metallic etc as I look really ill in beige type colours.
Dont mind spending a bit of money if it'll last
Have looked at M&S online but nothing there.
Any ideas folks?
TIA

Here?

Hathor · 04/04/2008 21:17

No - the mac at the bottom right hand corner, not the sunglasses.

aefondkiss · 04/04/2008 21:21

not slouchy but not fitted

FatZakAteAllTheEggs · 04/04/2008 21:23

I ordered the one Hathor linked to but in beige. It was just too shiny and sheeny!!

I got one from Dorothy Perkins in the end - doesn't seem to be on website but thisis the closest.

I'd been looking for ages as I really wanted something brighter too but ended up with beige

Will keep an eye on this as I only bought mine today and it may well go back if there are some better ideas

I saw this the other day and really liked it. Nicer in real life than the web

Pannacotta · 04/04/2008 21:29

Thanks all, the Dotty P one looks promising, will have to have a look in my local shop. Betty Jackson good style but grey not my best colour, and cant open the pic in Hathor's link for some reason...

I almost daren't post this link for fear of being branded as dressing like a granny, but came across this one during my hunt if colour is what you want .....

(it was desperation that drew me to BHS, honestly...)

Pannacotta · 04/04/2008 21:38

Nice colour FatZak but xut is too straight for me, I look like a rectangle already and think that style woudl just accentuate my lack of waist.
No idea why its hard to find colourful macs though, v odd...

I look like a sack in most macs/winter coats I splashed out on one from Boden last year (not me at all by the way but got drawn in and decided I needed a new image!!)and wore it about twice. It was double breasted and belted and did absolutely nothing for me at all So back to cheap and cheerful for me again!

kikidee · 04/04/2008 21:46

Debs one more silver than grey - grey not good for me either.

Pannacotta · 04/04/2008 21:53

Will try Debs then, silver might be ok, also Saindburys (dont shop at Tesco )/
FatZak, why not flog your mac on ebay? Use the proceeds for a new one?

Pannacotta · 04/04/2008 22:22
