Face cleansing cloths

Apologies for the mind numbing boring post but has anyway got any recommendations for a nice soft face cloth to remove makeup?
Ive just used a flannel and feel like I've just ripped my skin to pieces!
Is there anything that's soft, and stays soft?
Someone mentioned bamboo cloths but I'm a bit lost tbh, seems to be hundreds of different ones out there.
Help!

Muslin cloths, buy in big packs on Amazon

Jeezitneverends · 17/05/2024 18:22

@bookgirl1982 when you say muslin cloths, do you mean muslin as in the muslin nappy type cloth? I’m keen to stop using cotton wool pads for cleansing

bookgirl1982 · 17/05/2024 18:26

Muslin is a fine cotton type fabric and you can get square cloths for cleansing

Something like these

Ane face cloths from Amazon. One side is soft flannel and the other is muslin. They stay really soft and very gentle.

twiddlingthumbs69 · 17/05/2024 18:29

Are they a bit hard/harsh though?
Wondering if they go hard after washing?

Superdrug do a pack of three very soft face cloths and they don’t go hard. I’ve had mine three years and they are still as soft as when they were bought.

WeRateSquirrels · 17/05/2024 18:41

I have bought these twice as lovely and soft and don't go rough with washing (although we do have very soft water which probably makes a difference).

Muslin ones are designed to be a bit exfoliating so can be too rough for sensitive skin.

I bought a multipack of muslin cloths for babies and cut each cloth in 4. They are great.
I just use lukewarm water.
I had been using wipes but I know they are not good for the environment.

I have the Erase your face ones. Lovely and soft.

I have the Erase your face ones. Lovely and soft.

Also came on to say Danielle Erase your face. I love mine, you don’t even need to add any products if you don’t want to as they clean your face with just water.

I use facial sponges. Lovely and soft. Get them from Amazon.

Nadine Bagot always mentioned the microfibres face cleaning cloths from Primark - apparently amazing at taking off makeup.
I expect other shops (like Superdrug or Amazon sell similar).
If you google 'nadine bagot microfibre cloth' it comes up with results

I have these. Perfect for makeup removal

I use the microfibre clothes from primark- did not know they recommended by Nadine bagot!

However they now seem to be mini sized.

They are supersoft and gentle and you don't need product

These are similar from amazing

Not keen on muslin as my skin is sensitive and it more of an exfoliant.

Fraaahnces · 18/05/2024 06:37

I use microfiber facecloths. I like that they squeeze out nicely and wash and dry better than flannels. I will say that if they are not wet “enough” (ie - slightly dry) they do rub on my face. I have sensitive skin and they don’t cause issues if they are wet/damp.
Muslin cloths are also lovely, but they don’t last as long or wash as well.
The sponges above could be good too. They probably can be washed and kept for longer.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 18/05/2024 06:38

Are you tumble drying them? If I don’t tumble dry my cloths go very rough.

GettingStuffed · 18/05/2024 08:23

I use these, they're a really good size rather than those tiny ones you get in the liked of Primark.

A previous poster mentioned hers go hard if you don't tumble dry them. I don't have a tumble dryer and they don't go hard.

Bit late then, but Boots' cotton flannels are soft and a steal at a quid.

MrsWhites · 18/05/2024 14:49

The Superdrug microfibre ones are lovely, super soft and wash really well. Think they are in the Superdrug studio London range.
