I have severe flaky dry skin all over my body and patch of eczema on arms hands and eyelids

I'm really bad a putting on body lotion because it takes to long and I don't like how it feels but ideally need to start putting it on. I've started to shower a night so it can soak in before I get dressed for the day.

I have a aveeno right now but can any one recommend a better one?

Right now I can only describe my legs as dusty. They are sensitive so no harsh perfumes sadly!

I've heard of double base, dipro base , and seen apro seem on Amazon?

Needs to be in a pump I can't be arsed with manage a tube.

I highly recommend this cream. Can be bought in Boots and Superdrug and some Sainsbury's stores. Has worked really well for the eczema in our family and no complaints of stinging when applying!

I get dreadfully dry skin,I've been using garnier maple moisturiser for very dry skin but I have to be strict and use it twice a day.I also use doublebase,it's really good and has the pump you're looking for. Both from Amazon.

I use Diprobase (on prescription). I've also recently been prescribed a new miracle eczema cream (protopic) which has made my skin smoother than it has ever been in my life. Highly highly recommend asking your GP for it. Has totally cleared up the dry itchy sore flaky skin on my face in a couple of days. Amazing stuff.

In addition to my Cetraben Oat cream suggestion, have you tried using an oil on your skin? You mentioned in your OP that you don't like the feel of skin cream, an oil would feel different and may be more comfortable for you.

I sometimes apply an oil straight after showering when skin is still a bit damp. I usually use coconut oil or almond oil. I also find these help with reducing any skin itching.

Oooh thanks!

Lots to look at and I pick cetraben oat as my first trial.

The protopic sound ideal but I'm not sure I'd be eligible for it? Ill have a look at he nice guidelines

What I mean I don't like the feel is I don't like waiting whilst it dries!! I'm really impatient! And also I'm lazy and just can't be bothered treating my whole body, it's just such chore!

I'll invest in the cetraben and try and keep it up!

Cetraben is also good

If the cetraben takes too long to be absorbed for you, DD2 has QV for her eczema, and it's quite quick to absorb. She gets it on prescription, but it's available OTC as well.

My GP prescribes big bottles of Epimax emollient, which is good stuff. You just hold it upside down and squeeze it out, like a big bottle of mayo! Very easy.

I can't stand fiddly little tubes of cream either. I can use one up on just my face, neck and chest in one day.

Try aleppo soap made of laurel oil as an alternative to the soap you currently use. The laurel and olive oil seem to help and the glycerine content makes it quite moisturising
