Spot remedy recommendations wanted!

Hi,

I generally have fairly good, clear skin on my face but occasionally I get a breakout of a MASSIVE spot or two. It's like all the normal reasonably-sized spots wait to collaborate with each other into one hyper-sized monstrosity...

I had one a couple of weeks ago. She was bad enough but she's now been replaced by her bigger, uglier brother. He's just sitting there on my face, glowing, and drawing all the attention (people talk to him, not me). He's weird too - he doesn't have a head that I can see and doesn't really hurt... It's like he's just taken up residence on my chin and has no intention of leaving. Like an ugly, fuck off chin squatter.

Anyway - I desperately want to evict (or kill) him... Anyone got any good recommendations for excellent monster spot poison??

Collaborate 😂

I always swear by Sudocreme for spots. Can’t go out with it on though…

Your description of a girl spot first, followed by a boy spot, made me giggle.
I second Sudocream.

Also Freederm gel for nuclear option- from most chemists and supermarkets

I'm ancient and still get the odd spot . Sudocreme over night or I have a freederm fast gel it's called its very good.

This is what I have for the occasional spot. It's a cover up with tea tree.

Freederm is excellent.

Sterilised needle. Push in and remove and then place a pore sucker over the top to draw pus out. Use water free hand gel to clean the area and then apply TCP on the end of a cotton bud. Healed within a day.

Alternatively, use magnesium sulphate overnight to draw it to a head an then place a spot patch over it. Clean and apply TCP as above.

Excellent! Thank you. I'm going to try all of these to kill the fucker.

I forgot about freederm! I used to use it years ago.

I'll head to superdrug later for supplies. Thank you!

@Branster his gender was assigned by my son... He started to call him Dave (as in 'morning mummy, morning Dave').

And he's absolutely male... Obstinate, entitled, takes up more space than is reasonable etc.

What I used to do with these bad boys was do a face mask to draw the head to the surface and then tea tree oil to help
heal. Usually there’d be a head next day.

If you don’t like squeezing I saw a med or derm say you can put a pin or needle (sterilised) in it to drain out liquid. I don’t think I ever tried that but was tempted.

Oh, I also heard that squeezing spots isn’t the worst thing in the world as long as you stop before the blood stage.

I used to get as a teenager/young adult spots that were so red and painful that only an ice cube would calm them down.

ALL of them! I'm sure that will see Dave off, but I'm now concerned about the rest of your face!

Try washing with nutrogena face wash foam with turmeric first, it's orange but excellent then follow with Clinique blemish clearing gel from their anti blemish solutions range.
