Skincare for dry skin

I've never really been one for a skincare routine (yes terrible) but as I approach 30 I realise I probably should take better care of it and try and keep as youthful as I can (I look young anyway but I'd like to maintain)

I have really dry skin on my face which has been worse since having kids

I have recently tried the inky list hyaluronic acid and the CeraVe moisturiser as a basic morning and night routine to get me started

But I have got so many bloody spots in places I've never had before. I wonder if it could be what I'm using? The rest of my skin looks clear and great but the spots are painful when I'm getting them

Any tips or advice? Do I stick with it

CeraVe gave DD awful acne - Avène and Ren are two fabulous brands for dry skin and have really improved hers a lot

Weleda skin food. My friend is a model and she uses this as do a lot of the make up artists she works with.

Also try hyaluronic acid and collagen supplements.

@goldenretrievermum5 ahh that's annoying! I bought it having heard such good things!

@sunflowerfan I did use Weleda Skin Food before this and used the whole tube but I just found it quite thick and oily to be honest. It didn't break me out, and it did the job but not the most pleasant to use

@sunflowerfan any recommendations on collagen supplements?

I'm here for a basic easy life when it comes to skincare (I hope haha)

I use the Solgar one, either directly from Solgar or often H&B has it on offer.

I did buy some from Just Vitamins and that was also good

Have you tried the “Simple” products? They are pretty gentle. And for a face wash I swear by Superfacialist Rosehip hydrate creamy cleanser.
