high end shoes

i always thought i would like to own 1 pair of salavator ferragamo classic pumps.
i like the block heel better than those on vivier.
however i'm now seeing pumps in the same price range by christain louboutain
and even jimmy choo and other italian names i'd never considered.
these would be a once in a lifetime black shoe for who knows what occasion.
my question does a high price point mean a better fit? i don't have any bunions though prone to the occasional corn on my little toe and hate ill fitting backs.
but i would consider my foot wide.
so if anyone has ever tried on multiple higher end shoes and maybe even own a few different pairs. for the high price point are they comfortable?

Ferragamos are very comfortable because they come in different widths. I once bought a narrower pair that fit ok in the store but started hurting once I wore it for longer. In the wider width however, I can wear them for the whole day. I have several pairs but the block heel is definitely my favourite. My oldest pair is more than 15 years old and still looks good!

Chanel makes different widths as well and their lambskin is really soft.

Louboutins are extremely uncomfortable although to be fair the only pair I had were the stilettos and I don't think it's possible to be comfortable at that height.

Jimmy Choos and Vivier are nice and comfortable but I have not owned them in the block heel.

I have a couple of pairs of CL’s. Two were brought with me from the U.K. - a pair of patent kitten heel ankle boots and a pair of strappy sandals with a high, but blocky heel. The sandals are certainly less comfy after a couple of hours.
But there’s snow on the ground here for 5 months or so each winter, so they don’t get much use. I also have a pair of CL sneaker style Vieira’s and a pair of penny loafers, both of which are slightly more practical and wearable at -30.

well moose i'm in bc and my lifestyle is gardening and hiking but maybe someday i will have an occasion and it would be nice to be put together BUT not at the expense of comfort. i have family that would know the difference but dare not ask as i really really am the country bumpkin.

I used to wear Ferragamo Vara shoes when I started my former professional career in the late 80s - 90s. They must have been comfortable as I bought several pairs in succession (and recommended them to other people) and wore them for long days. As PP have said, they came in different widths.

I stopped wearing them when fashions changed.

Now - I think they’d be a perfectly lovely shoe to have available, even if not part of your day to day wardrobe.
