Easy and natural fake tan

Hi,

I'd like to try out some fake tan and was wondering for recommendations. I've noticed lots of women around me looking really nice with a natural looking glow.

My experiences of fake tan previously are orange and streaky as a teenager or a bit of the holiday skin moisturiser stuff when I go on holiday. I'm naturally fair and pale.

Thanks.

I like the Dove one.

I find St Tropez the best, and St Moritz and acceptable alternative. I use the mousse in a pump bottle.

It is key to use a foam mit to apply to avoid streaks, squidge a few pumps on the mit and then apply in big sweeping strokes, i do a limb at a time, and wipe the residue over my face and décolletage rather than a fresh pump so i don't get too much on.

I tend to do at night, sleep in it and wash off in the morning. I sometimes layer it by doing a few days/nights in a row depending on if i want glow vs beach/swimsuit colour.

I am also fair and pale

I’ve been using Bondi Sands light/medium spray and lotion. It’s £4.99 in home bargains atm (is 17.99 in Boots)

Thanks for the suggestions. Do you usually find it long lasting? Don't have the time to do it lots and lots.

I am an avid fake tanner and have been for a long timeGrin

The ones I would recommend the most are Bondi Sands, either the aero mousse or normal mousse. Sunkissed are another good one, as is Revolution. Superdrug also do their own brand, Solait which are really good for the price. I do steer clear of St Moriz as I find it fades horribly and is very hard to remove, but I do have dry skin so this probably doesn't help. Stay away from clear mousse or tanning water for you first attempts, these have no guide colour so it can be really hard to see where you've applied and will leave you streaky if you're not used to it

You will find most tans won't last longer than a week to 10 days at most before needing removing. It's up to you whether you then want to scrub it all off properly and reapply again. I do this every Sunday, remove in the shower in the morning, reapply in the evening then wash it off Monday morning before work. But I do always like to be tanned hence why I've got a routine. If you're not worried about having a continuous tan you don't need to worry about this

Applying a gradual tan moisturiser a few times a week can help prolong the tan

I’ve been using St Tropez bronzing mouse for about 20 years. It’s brilliant. In the summer months I do it every week. Apply it on a Sunday night, sleep in it, wash it off in the morning.
