Stretch shoes

Could anyone give me some tips on how to stretch some leather shoes please?

I have some gorgeous new pointy silver sling backs but I have only managed to wear them to the end of my road and back home to change!

They don't particularly need widening, but it's as if they are too narrow over my big toes, they need stretching upwards! It's not like I have fat toes!

I have put some water in a ziplock bag and shoved it into the front and put them in the freezer hoping the ice will swell the leather but it wasn't easy to push the water bags in and I'm not convinced that will work!

Any ideas?

Thick socks and a hair dryer.

Put very thick socks on your feet. Heat the shoes for a couple of minutes with the hairdryer and then put the shoes one. Leave them on for a couple of hours, preferably whilst you sit down, working or watching TV etc.
Do this a few times.

@Firstworldproblemo thank you, I have tried that but it didn't do anything!

There's a shoe stretcher spray you can get from cobblers - it really works. Sorry, can't remember what it is called but I'm sure you'll find it on an online retailer.

The ice thing rarely works as the water freezes slowly so the bag expands up out of the shoe. It didn't stay in the tow space

Even if you sat it feels like the shoe is too shallow, stretching it widthways will create more fabric (leather) capacity. You will make it more like a bigger toe box area overall.

Cobbler can do it

Agree take them to the cobbler.
You can buy shoe stretchers but probably not worth it for just one pair.

Cobblers it is then, I was reluctant because it hasn't worked on boots in the past for me but maybe shoes will be better. Thanks all
