Extensions yay or nay?

I'm contemplating getting extensions. My hair has always been fine and since having an under active thyroid it's also very thin. Not "see your scalp" thin but drab and barely there thin.

Are they hard to maintain? I'm very much a wash and go person, but my hair is polker straight naturally so needs little in the way of blow drying or straightening anyway.

I took mine out after 3 weeks, my hair was filthy where they were and so itchy. Constantly felt like they were going to fall out. Took 2 hours to dry my hair

Ok! That's definitely not a good advertisement for them 😕

I should probably say I've tried clip in and halo ones but can't ever get them to look right.

Loving my tape-ins one week in. I usually wash my hair daily so it’s an adjustment to start only washing 2-3 times a week but so far I’m loving having my hair out and bouncy or a thick pony tail, when usually is sad and thin.

And you do need to blow dry them totally dry and not sleep with them wet.

I'm having 100 nano rings fitted next month.
My hair is fine and I can't grow it past my shoulders. I just want to know that it's like to have long swishy hair!
There's a fair bit of maintenance involved so just be aware and do your research.
It's not cheap either. £100 every 8-10 weeks to have them refitted.
