Wanted - lovely firming face cream for saggy jowls

That's it really.

Now I've hit my 40s parts of my face are beginning to slide south and I was looking for a firming face cream that actually works before I start looking like Clement Freud. I've tried the Clarins extra firming creams but they gave me spots, ditto the Biotherm one.

Is there any over 40 scaffolding type cream that isn't greasy? I have normal/combination skin that lately has been veering a bit towards oily. This certainly helps to keep wrinkles at bay but means I need something light on my skin and most of the "age appropriate" stuff around is quite rich.

Anybody got any ideas?

No?

I'll have to start using the old sellotape in the hairline trick, won't I?

get yourself some caci treatments - they work. and do some facial exersises.

freeze 24.7 is good for going out
it is temp thyo

Brangelina · 01/04/2008 14:36

What are caci treatments?

Is the freeze stuff a cloth mask thingy?

Sorry for ignorance but am not in UK so not up to date with the latest gear.

caci is a facial using electro currents to lift and tone muscles.

wishfort · 03/04/2008 09:34

Sod the electrics - get going with the facial exercises. That Eve Fraser woman is good.

Short term? No moisturiser at night - makes your skin soft and wrinkles on the pillow. Think about it. Eeew.

madamez · 03/04/2008 09:35

Avon do some quite nice ones. None of them really make much difference but they feel pleasant on the skin and smell nice.
Buy a couple of rubber bands and put your hair in a high ponytail

ScienceTeacher · 03/04/2008 09:46

There are products that make these claims, but none of them actually deliver.

facial yoga and caci

Brangelina · 03/04/2008 12:02

So, anybody got any good links to facial yoga? I'll try googling Eve Fraser. Thanks

Lol, I thought of the Croydon facelift too, only I've just had my hair cut into a short bob, so not enough to tie up. The Sofia Loren sellotape trick might be a better, of not more painful, solution.

I actually don't wear moisturiser at night in the summer because I usually end up sweating (often 30°+ here even at night). I do at the moment because the bl°*dy heating is still on despite the 25° outside.
