Help! What to do with one's jelly belly!

I managed to lose 2 stone in the last year and have gone from a size 18 top/16 bottom to a size 14 top/size 12 bottom (yay, go me). I was thrilled with all my hard work, even though my belly was (is) still wobbly, with rather fetching stretchmark wrinkles.

I thought I was happy and really felt I was slim enough, but now after being 9 1/2 stone (am 5 ft 5) since before Christmas I am no longer happy. It is my tummy that I can't stand, I do 100 situps a night and I can feel that my ab muscles are pretty hard, but how does one get rid of the jelly belly (yes I do have the muffin top problem, even with looser jeans )and tone up that loose skin? I am tempted to start dieting again, but am worried my skin will get even saggier if I go down another 1/2 stone.

Any advice is welcome oh wise MNetters as I am fed up with being so very wobbly (could cope with slightly wobbly though).

Posted this in the weightloss section too.

I do sit-ups too but there are other types of exercise to tone the lower part of the stomach. You lie on your back with your legs perpendicular and your arms by your side. Then you sort of lift your bottom off the ground. It's quite tough. Also the Swiss Ball is supposed to be very good. I am in the midst of doing all this so don't know if any of it will actually be very effective. I have a feeling some of it might be unshiftable.

Magic pants.

Or 'Drop A Dress Size' 10 minute tummy workout. I found it absolutely brilliant - results like I've never known. Worth giving a go.

Ooooh, Peggy, that sounds interesting, where can I get hold of the details?

It's here but it's not currently available.

What I found useful about it was the way the she explains that tightening your abdomen is not really about just sit-ups. She tells you how the muscles lie and explains what you want each of them to do to achieve a flatter stomach and a waist that nips in. Then she gives you exercises that are similar to sit-ups but that achieve what she's just explained. They're hard work but they work.

I'm sure a similar abs workout directed specifically at women would do much the same thing.

Having just said all that, it's possible that you knew all that already and it's all too basic for you! Sorry if that's the case!
