Interview next week for BA Primary Education - what to wear?

I want to look smart but approachable and I want to stand out a little bit without being too 'kooky' or 'in your face'.

I am fat too so needs to be something flattering.

Help please?

hey Scneebly
I am on PGCE at moment - good luck! I'll tell you what I wore for my interview but you may be MUCH younger than me so disregard if you like!
It was very informal really and the other women were all in skirts/boots or smart trousers but looked like smart teachers, not officey iyswim. The guy who interviewed me was wearing jeans and trainers...
I wore pink v neck jumper with black & grey pleated wool skirt, lack tights, flat black boots, necklace with big pink square pendant. Sadly I absent mindedly put the pink jumper in the wash last week and had to pass it on to 12yo dd...
PS haven't had time to be on mn since starting the course but now have three weeks holiday and an essay to write. I must get it done before kids' holiday starts next week but there are so many distractions.

Thanks for the good luck message soyabean! I was thinking smart blackk trousers or long flippy skirt with boots - think a big piece of jewelerry or a scarf might be a good way to go to stand out a little.

Now bugger off and do your essay!

Hi
So waht I was saying I suppose is wear something you feel comfortable in, but maybe a bit of a bright colour is good to make you stand out a bit (my jumper was a lovely deep pink, from east, tho 2nd hand; I did feel better than if I had been in all dark colours).
I will let other people advise you though, not my strong point but had to reply to your post!

yes soyabean - I agree with you needs to be comfortable and I like the sound of your deep pink jumper! I love pink it matches my cheeks
