Removing short stubbly chin hairs

Since menopause I've developed a few stubbly chin hairs. A couple are dark but the rest are fair so mostly invisible but whenever I touch my chin it feels prickly. I remove them with tweezers but a different one seems to pop up each day which is pretty annoying. Is there any easier way to have a smooth chin?

I've been plucking mine for a few years and they're dark and horrible. After researching options it looks like electrolysis or laser is the only thing that will give any real respite. I've bought a home IPL device but too scared to shave my face to use it Grin

Another vote for IPL, although this doesn't work on very blond hair. Good for the dark ones though. The face shaving isn't so scary, feels a bit weird for a day or two. I don't have many chin hairs so I just shave those tiny patches. You don't need a close shave like a man, it's just to remove the worst of it so the IPL targets the root of the hair not the long bit sticking out.

Lazer for the dark ones, and then when they all go fair electrolysis to finish them off.. deffo worth it, IMO

Laser is the generally recommended route, but I’ve heard some say it doesn’t work if the hair growth is hormonal? I think mine is so I haven’t gone down that route yet.

I get waxed every 4-ish weeks.

the old wives tale is to drink spearmint tea to reduce facial hair.

If they are fair, laser isn't going to work. I had electrolysis for mine - exactly as you describe, sharp little stubby hairs, that I could feel poking through from the second they surfaced. A few months of visits to the electrolysis clinic (I went once a month, probably six times) and they are gone. Such a relief to not be constantly feeling them poking through.

Electrolysis. <<Reminds self to book into clinic>>. If you've only got a few stubbly ones, you might need 3 of 4 sessions, but it'll only need a few minutes each time.

I have a threading tool I bought on eBay for about £5 and it's amazing. A plastic handle with metal springs in between, squeeze the handle and run it along the chin and it pulls out all the little hairs.

Electrolysis if the hair is light. I had this about 10 years ago, had a course of Electrolysis and it worked brilliantly. However, they've just started coming through again so I'm.having another course. Hopefully this time it will last for another 10 years.
