What do people wear when the list is so restrictive? I usually wear clothes like this day to day

Yes agree with this. This is why I was asking is it to stay over or just a meal. Just a meal - jeans and blouse is fine. Staying over, it doesn't matter. If they have an issue, just carry it to the door and put it on there

Wow, I've never heard of a hotel with a dress code! Maybe for the restaurant only. Could you send a link so I can be nosy?

I think it depends on how it’s prefaced. Most hotels with a dress code would only enforce them in the bar, restaurant etc
and anything goes walking through the grounds/in common areas. Which hotel is it?

Stayed at many clubs and hotels with dress codes over the years (DH often stays for work) and non have objected to me breaking the dress code walking from my room to the exit as long as it is straight in or out. Most places will also happily put a raincoat and bag in the cloakroom for you if you want to go straight out from breakfast. Just make sure your clothes under the coat meet the dress code.

If they have a dress code, do they allow jeans in the restaurant? Just a thought.
