go for it. i am also crap with heels but i got some wedges on holiday last year and now i always wear them when on a night out.

soapbox · 30/03/2008 22:29

hmm - they will look a bit clumpy on I fear!

I think with a wedge heel you can afford to go quite high, as they feel very stable - but ditch the big platform at the front which makes them look heavy.

moondog · 30/03/2008 22:31

No,those arem inging. The sort of thing a slatternly bottle blonde bar owner in magaluf would wear. (Brit of course)

You can find something a million times nicer than those.

willali · 31/03/2008 18:26

I am just about to order the strappy ones at the bottom of the page - I hope thay are a good compromise - not completely flat but a little more elegant than the old Birkies! I am rubbish with shoes without a strap but I do like the ones you like!! I am glad I am not alone in looking at those "gorgeous shoes" articles in Grazia etc and thinking to myself How Do people survive heels like THAT - even if I discount dog walking as patently unsuitable for such shoes, the rest of the day taken up with housework, errands, kids stuff etc I don't know when I would wear anything over about a 2 inch heel!

CountessDracula · 31/03/2008 18:27

don't do it
they are not nice ones

hang on will try and find you something better

CountessDracula · 31/03/2008 18:31

how about these (not the gold!)

It is very hard to find anything in a mid heel that doesn't look frumpy and clumpy!

CountessDracula · 31/03/2008 18:34

lkbennett have some niceish ones

iamdingdong · 31/03/2008 18:38

camper do nice wedges, I don't do heels generally, but even I can ahndle camper ones, so comfy!

iamdingdong · 31/03/2008 18:40

camper

MissingMyHeels · 31/03/2008 18:41

They would be ok if you have really dinky feet. Otherwise go much much higher, they aren't really heels so you can afford to get another inch or so on the heel.

oh good!
they look like they would stay on better too

CountessDracula · 31/03/2008 18:48

they will not feel high because of the platform - go across from the top of the platform and you will see that they are not high at all

CountessDracula · 31/03/2008 18:48

(you do realise they have a toepost btw)

princessmel · 31/03/2008 18:52

I never wear wedges as I feel they are always too high for me. The LKbennet ones would be a def no go.
I'm 5"7 and feel horid if I wear really high heels. But mid wedges always seem frumpy.
I did get a nice tan leather pair from new Look last year though. With straps. They had almost the same ones in RI too.

CountessDracula · 31/03/2008 18:52

i have some GORGEOUS Gant tan ones but they are vertiginous
