How often do you brush your hair?

My hair's a mess.

I brush it once in the morning then that's it (unless I'm going out). But I don't keep tending to it during the day. I've naively assumed that everyone does this so I thought I'd ask...

How often do you brush, comb, re-style your hair during the day?

I have a straight bob with fringe, it only looks good if tidy. I’ll style it in the morning (not just brushing, always blow drying or straightening or both) then brush it every time I come in after being outside (it’s usually windy or raining here) as well as probably to tidy it up after lunch, if I’ve gotten changed at any other point during the day, or am going out in the evening.

It wouldn’t have occurred to me to consider brushing it alone as styling.

Never, I used to brush it a lot, made it frizzy and fly away. I thought I had wavy hair and it turned out to be curly. Embraced curly girl method, got more layers and finally in my 50s I have hair I actually like.

When I get up and then after each time I walk the dogs. I've got very fine hair but quite a lot of it and it doesn't respond to products so most of the time I look like I've just been electrocuted. I went dramatically short last week thinking it would help... it hasn't.

I use a wide tooth comb after washing and then blow dry it when almost dry. Never brush it again till I wash it...just ruffle it up. I have a short layered Bob

Wavy gone curly here too, only brush it when wet in the shower, I run my fingers through tangles or to adjust it the rest of the time. Wash it every third day.

Never, I have wavy hair and it's in a bob shape it just goes frizzy if I brush it.

I only brush mine when I've washed it so every 4-5 days.
I have curly ringletty hair though socan get away with the lack of washing and brushing!

Only when I wash and sometimes just the parting even then. Untangle with fingers. Apply serum. Curly hair that used to masquerade as ‘wavy’ when I brushed it too often.

Thanks for all the replies. I thought most would say they brush/comb/primp continually through the day but seems that most people are like me.
