Sebaceous Filaments

Has anyone deliberately tried to improve how they look / minimise and what products have proven successful? Salicylic acid seems a general recommendation but any specific products have worked for you?

I know they are natural and should not be squeezed out but I really wish me nose was smoother.

Just had a little laugh at this name thinking it was the baby name section!

I've used both Paula's choice BHA and REN AHA tonic and seen improvement

I'd second REN, and also recommend Boots No 7 Radiance+ VitC toner.

Kate Somerville cleanser, the pink one with the sulphur in it. Pricey at £38 a tube but think they are doing a discount at mo, would definitely recommend. I had issues with cheeks and nose, looks much better now.

I second everything above along with double cleansing. Also watching what moisturisers you are using and ensuring they are non-comedogenic. Cleansing as soon as you get home so that make up and spf is not sat on your face any longer than need be.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it's helped keep my sebaceous filaments at bay:

Cos de baha bha liquid

I will definitely be buying it again. I sometimes use it as a first cleanse, followed by Cerave hydrating cleanser.

A few years ago I completely got rid of mine using the Nip+Fab glycolic pads. It took about 6 weeks and they have never returned!
