I have £75 in vouchers to spend on myself, I would usually buy for the kids but other than bras have never bought myself anything from M&S and haven't actually bought myself anything to wear in quite a while. what would you buy?

7 caterpillar cakes…

This suggestion is tempting too though!

SquashPenguin · 04/04/2024 11:21

Several Colin Caterpillar cakes.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 04/04/2024 11:23

Definitely cargo trousers or wide leg jeans
pyjamas
camisole vest things

Geranium1984 · 04/04/2024 11:31

I've recently bought my last two pairs of jeans from M&S. Can reccommend the ivy range if it's your style?

dreamingofsun · 04/04/2024 11:35

@Lentilweaver yes those are the ones. if you are between sizes go down.

Deadlinesaredickheads · 04/04/2024 12:16

A fancy wedding cake just for me

notsostylish · 04/04/2024 12:36

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions!
Going to head down over the weekend and try a few bits on. Spending the lot on food would be my first option probably but far too many Easter eggs were consumed in this house over the weekend I don't need more temptation 🤣

Things (in general) that I would like:
Comfortable post-surgery bra in a neutral colour
A loose cotton summer dress like the one I got last year
Pyjamas

I wouldn't be able to afford all of them and a similar dress probably wouldn't be in stock yet... So probably just the bra and pyjamas (although I would like to get the dress best)

Their “apothecary” range smells lovely - I have a diffuser and it’s so nice. Very spa like!

DilemmaDelilah · 04/04/2024 13:03

@Deadlinesaredickheads if it is just the flavour and icing/marzipan of the wedding cake you want, M&S do fantastic iced but undecorated round cakes and bar cakes. We got a round cake for our wedding which I decorated, plus a couple of bar cakes which we sliced for our guests.

Tights and a cashmere cardigan.

They have those seamless tights in the Autograph range that are insanely comfortable.

A dress from Nobody’s Child, so many lovely ones!

Tarkan · 04/04/2024 13:25

I had an M&S voucher at Christmas and went in planning to spoil myself. Didn't see anything in clothing or home so spent it all on Cornish cruncher cheese and some wine. BlushGrin

Jeans, linen trousers, a Trench coat or food

ConsuelaHammock · 04/04/2024 14:33

I had a gift voucher for £50. I bought some comfy T-shirt bras, 6 camisole vests and a pack of cotton pants. Came to £52.
I’d have bought a pretty dress if I didn’t need new underwear. There’s a beautiful embroidered black one in m and s but it’s £125 ??

ConsuelaHammock · 04/04/2024 14:34

This is stunning!

No it's really not, it's drab and frumpy and soooo M& S, sorry

I like it. I am a bit frumpy though 🤪. Thankfully I’m 5 ft 8 and a size 8 so I think it would look fabulous on me.

I like this for exactly £75 as a spring jacket, but perhaps it's drab, who knows. Tweed Relaxed Collarless Short Jacket | M&S Collection | M&S (marksandspencer.com)

I love this!

Bras, pants and booze. An insight into my life.

Ilovelurchers · 04/04/2024 15:37

I think their food is lovely! Just the normal things, like frozen chips, are better than at other supermarkets. Their cut flowers are nice as well. And birthday cards, Christmas cards, things like that.

And if you drink alcohol I believe they are supposed to do some nice gins and things like that?

I'm not a massive fan of their clothes but if I had £75 I HAD to spend there I would probably buy staples like leggings and plain or simple t-shirts. My daughter wears very simple stuff - nautical stripe t-shirts and sweaters and things like that - and she has quite a few M and S tops - it is nice quality.
