I find heels bloody cripple me.

I'm a magnificently bosomy 16 with chunky legs.

what would you recommend, for looking good with long skirts mainly for a relaxed office environment

am needing a bit of zinging up. hate shoe shopping.

need help basically

lol at magnificently bosomy 16

that's me!

brimfull · 28/03/2008 17:33

well they look comfy but don't know if I'd wear them tbh

greenday · 28/03/2008 17:33

Geox (sp?) has an advert for their black pumps in the magazines - look out for it. They look stylish and classy and knowing Geox, oh-so-comfy!

brimfull · 28/03/2008 17:34

oops hang on

JackieBollyKnickers · 28/03/2008 17:34

How about flat knee length boots? good for hiding the chunky legs.

frogs · 28/03/2008 17:36

Camper shoes is what you need.

brimfull · 28/03/2008 17:36

here

actually look at geoxx site they're lovely but can't do links from it

needtoasksomething · 28/03/2008 17:40

oh god no, not camper shoes.. they are vile!
you'll want something a bit more stylish if they are for work.... try clarks, they have some nice stuff for grown ups these days!

Pannacotta · 28/03/2008 19:05

I just bought two nice pairs from Clarks - both metallic and pointed toe (which I think is more flattering than round), one with low, almost kitten heel but comfy and the other with slight wedged sole.
Will try and find them and link, but seem to remember that the Clarks site is no good for links.

Pannacotta · 28/03/2008 19:10

Just checked and def can't do links from the Clarks site.
The first pair I bought is called Art Deco and come in pale gold and pewter, the others are called Flamenco Dance and are dark silver.
They had a special offer where if you spend £39.99 or more you can get a second pair half price so I got two pairs for £62 rather than £85.

Pannacotta & needtoask

THANK YOU THANK YOU have just roamed the Clarks site and am very impressed (esp as they say they stock in the local groovy clothes shop in Stoke Newington)

glad to have the word of a punter that they are comfy. normally needtoask I do go to camper, finding the styles a bit either too similar to what I have already or too odd.

i have some gorgeous sparkly pink ballet pumps with low heel from clarks sale

CoffeeCrazedMama · 28/03/2008 23:24

Don't know about your budget but a real secret is Hobbs shoes. A bit pricey (good sales though) but really comfy - I've got some suede ballet pumps that feel like slippers but look gorgeous. They were about eighty quid though ...

wingandprayer · 28/03/2008 23:33

Has anyone seen any lovely black ballet style flats anywhere? Any I have seen look like either a 14 year old's school shoes or something Princess Di would've worn. Simple plain, black, round toed. Last pair I had were M&s and have just died after 4 years intensive wear (still ). Need to find replacements...life must go on....

Pannacotta · 29/03/2008 08:59

wingandprayer, try Clarks, their "Cocoa Creme" and "Cloud Puff" shoes are both on the Clarks website (both styles available in black in my local shop).
www.clarks.co.uk/
Both are flat ballet pumps and both comfy/pretty.

greenday · 29/03/2008 09:43

wingandprayer - that's what geoxx has started doing - lovely classy black pumps. I really fancy one.

wingandprayer · 29/03/2008 16:21

Thanks for that - great suggestions. Clarks here I come!

Pannacotta · 30/03/2008 12:35

greenday, where can you buy Geoxx shoes? HAve seen a few ads for them in the weekend papers but dont remember seeing a Geoxx shop before.

greenday · 31/03/2008 22:30

HI Pannacota, I've only seen the ads for them. Haven't really spotted any in the shops yet .. then again, I haven't been shopping lately.
