I got my highlights done yesterday and a cut and blow dry
I like my hair on the side yet she still puts me a middle partin
I asked for a bouncy blow dry
This is 20 mins when I get home
Would you be happy with this ?
It feels very flat to my head

@DSD9472 I get back combed highlights so when my root grows in it doesn't look as harsh as normal highlights

I wouldn't be happy with it either I doesn't look professionally done.

I do my own parting at the hairdressers after it's washed so maybe ask to do that next time?

BottomlessBrunch · 30/03/2024 17:03

No it looks like you've just left it to dry naturally.
That is in no way a bouncy blow dry! Fair enough after 6 hours you'd maybe expect it to drop but after 20 minutes that's useless. Did she put any product in it?

DrJoanAllenby · 30/03/2024 18:50

She's missed the ends. Too looks ok but then there is no volume at the ends.

Looks like the bottom half dried natural and the top half was blow dried!

ShyPearlMoose · 30/03/2024 19:30

ive had blow dries before that have stayed up for days. They haven’t used the right products for your hair.

lingmerth · 30/03/2024 22:23

Unfortunately it doesn't like she's given any lift to your hair and rushed it.
I have a great hairdresser who does a really good cut but I hate the way it's blow dried with no oomph. Now I always have the wash cut, highlights or whatever then dry it at home. Saves me money too!

@CatLevelCare ha ha ha that was straight on when I got back 🤣

If you pulled that over your head when you got back then surely it will have affected your hair?

HanaJane · 30/03/2024 22:35

No I wouldn't be happy, it looks like something I could do myself with a hairdryer not a professional blowdry

Chattywatty · 30/03/2024 22:43

It’s a poor blow dry. A decent bouncy blow dry should see you through until you wash your hair again.

a few tips. Does she pull your hair quite hard as she dries, if not it will not be a good blowdry. Also look for a hairdresser that does a lot of Middle Eastern / Greek / Turkish hair. They tend to be the ones who can do the best blow dries.
