Dd(15) and hair washing

My DD has v long blonde hair but she just seems incapable of washing it properly. Even the day after she washes it, it looks greasy and feels like she hasn't rinsed it properly. I've mentioned rinsing longer in shower and I bought a clarifying shampoo to see if it helped and first time she used it it looked better but now back to same.

Any suggestions? Change shampoo to something easier to rinse?

You wash your 15yo son's hair?! How will he ever learn to do it independently?

My dds hair is similar op but has been better since using the faith in nature shampoo for greasy hair and much less conditioner. She does use dry shampoo as well sometimes.

I second faith in nature. There are two in the range that work really well on my teen (both citrusy, can't recall exact flavour).

And also the advice about spending several minutes soaking the hair. Hair that shows the grease quickly is likely non-porous and needs a longer soak to actually get properly wet.

Mine is 14 bur needs regular hair washing advice, like, shampoo it twice, make sure you really rub your scalp and rinse it again when you think it's clean, make sure you rinse all the awkward places and give then extra attention, only use THIS MUCH confitiond3r and no more and don't put it near your roots etc. She isn't the slightest bit lazy about hygiene etc, she's over the top if anything and blow dries and curls her hair etc, I think learning to properly wash your hair must just be hard if you've got a lot of it!

My hair is often like this, I have found using a scalp stimulating brush on dry hair (and then in the shower to lather my shampoo), scalp scrub and double shampoo. Also blow drying my hair helps.

My hair looks like shit the day after I wash it and I’m 37! It’s likely her hormones at that age, but some of us just are a bit oilier than others.

I bought some kerastase products for oily hair a shampoo and a clay mask. Just one wash (I did it over sink for her) and her hair looks incredible.

She going to use the shampoo twice a week and the mask once and we will see how she goes. She may need to wash more often but we will see.
