Blazer indecision

Help please. I know I'm being daft but any thoughts on which of these might be better for spring? Would it be worth paying the extra for the wool one? I'm strawberry blonde and the colour is a bit of a departure for me. Any thoughts welcome

Why are they calling them blazers? I haven’t heard that being used for a very long time and it was never in a good way.

What goes around comes around. Lots of shops are calling them blazers at the moment.

They’re being called blazers everywhere…. It’s a bit like lace up shoes being called brogues. I probably wouldn’t buy either jacket tbh. I have 2 from Arket that I really like… a black wool one in a Hopsack wool and a pale linen one. I would rather find a good one second hand than buy a crappy one.

I am looking for a blazer too, reviews for this aren’t the best. I have to say M&S is disappointing these days. I recently ordered a jacket and shirt for DH, terrible fit, and not good quality either. I can see by the photo of the model, that the shoulder pads stick out, looks cheap for the price too IMHO.

I think the rather poor shirts/blouses shown with the M&S blazers adds to the shabby cheap look in the original post. I tend to follow Trinny, she always rocks blazer combos. lol :)

I've got a navy wool blazer complete with brass buttons - it's a Next from about 20 years ago - when the quality was decent. Still wear it.
