Every day handbag (high street prices)

I've been using a leather rucksack since forever and want to update it this year. A new bag needs to be practical to fit in various items including children's snacks and drinks bottles so not too small but ideally on trend and goes with a variety of outfits (office wear and casual). I can't be bothered to keep changing bags around and taking everything in and out so it really needs to be used for most things.

What's a nice style at the moment and most importantly at high street prices.

I reckon this would get a lot in and it has a much coveted middle zip compartment, to use style mag parlance. Available in a palette of colours. From £58

I find TK Mac great for bags

Me too.

What is a high street price though. Is @bellamountain looking for something from B&M , New Look, or what. A budget would be more helpful

I’ve just bought a https://fablou.com/collections/luna Luna bag from Fablou. I’ve got a few of their bags, but I’ve got really bad shoulders so this one is really light. It’s very roomy. I’m going to get another one, in a darker colour, to take on the plane when I go on holiday.

The Olive green one is half price with the code Olive

Thanks. Bag looks just want I am after. However on website the olive green is more like a mint green, but the pic you posted is very much an olive colour! Bit confused!

Thanks for all the suggestions, I have a good few to look at now and I hadn't even thought of TK Maxx. When I say high street I obviously mean something non designer that costs ££££. Anything £40 and under ideally. I really don't care about labels and quality bags because it will just be shoved on the floor and be used for holding all the kids rubbish. I only really make an effort with bags if I'm going out out sans children. Fiorelli is a good shout, used to have a rucksack from there that lasted years. I'll have a look at Mango and Zara too.

Osprey bags are lovely and good quality. Often come up on ebay or vinted.

The handbag market is such a game! Happily there are some less well known brands making lovely stuff. Like TK mentioned earlier you can find heavy discounts at Brand Alley. Some great black leather backpacks and totes on there currently and 70% off the often silly' pinch of salt' RRPs . Lots around the £50-80 bracket so well worth a look. .

I agree. I’ve got the sand one which is a lot lighter than the one on the website in RL. I think olive is more khaki coloured than mint, personally, it’s odd.

Have a look at Anthropologie. I recently bought a leather crossbody crescent bag from them and have been impressed with the quality. It is my work, kids, life bag.

Honestly I would just get something on Vinted. Nylon or Leather. There are more bags in this country than we could use up in a hundred years. I have had a couple of Concka brand leather bags from Vinted and they are fantastic. That or a nylon multi pocket tote from Amazon.

Ah sorry, just saw your budget - I would recommend Oliver Bonas, I bought one from them a while ago and it was great.

Yoshi might be worth a look. I also like my Troop messenger book for work / when I need to carry more than the normal amount of stuff around with me.

Mia Tui back packs which you can pick up cheaper on Vinted. They have lots of pockets, a hidden back compartment and a water bottle holder. I think there are two sizes. I can get a iPad in mine
