Best tool for loose curls

My 12 year old daughter has just asked me if she can curl her hair for school. I have never curled my hair in my life so I am not much help to her. What do you think would be best and easiest for her to use for lose curls? Should i get her a curling wand or would she be better with a pair of good straightners?

Overnight curls might be easier. I’m useless with a curling iron or straighteners, especially if I’m in a rush to get out the door in the morning. It takes me ages and the curls usually all drop out by lunchtime anyway. She could try a dressing gown tie first, and if she finds it okay to sleep in, you could get her one of the silky tubey things.

Try the dressing gown curl method - super easy, takes just 5 mins to put them in at night and she’ll wake up with gorgeous bouncy curls that rival a blow dry from a hairdresser. DD does them very often and her hair always looks fabulous. They last for ages, she can often get 2 days out of hers with no hairspray or anything, for her they’re far better than ones from a curling wand or straightener. Also added bonus of no heat damage or accidental burns
