Anyone else struggle with finding the right information about skin care?

I am in my mid 40s, married with 2 kids, job, busy life. So I haven't exactly spent much time taking care of my skin since I had kids and so I decided to change that. I have now met with 4 dermatologists, 5-6 aestheticians and so far I have yet to find recommendations that is tailored to my skin and would be meaningful like a plan or a routine. They are either trying to sell me botox or products or treatments. For ex, one of them recommended that I try a popular prescription retinol cream to try to reduce skin pigmentation but was unable to explain why this was better than a chemical peel. Is it so hard to find a good cosmetic dermatologist who knows what they are doing ? Do you have any recommendations for a reliable cosmetic dermatologist you have used and found reliable, in Essex?

Skin needs to be clean, hydrated and protected from the sun.

The only ingredients proven to be anti-ageing are vitamin A/retinoids.

Vitamin C is an anti oxidant and helps your SPf do its job and makes your skin glow.

Don't pay dermatologists. Watch Nadine Baggott who often has insta lives with dermatologists who'll tell you the above for free.

If you want surgery and tweakments obviously that's different.
