a raincoat which has a feminine shape

I thought I'd found the perfect raincoat - Didrickson's. Loved the colours and thought I loved the shapes, But when I tried them on they did what all raincoats seem to do on women (or this woman at least!) - gave me a boxy or rectangular shape. Other than a trench coat are there any more tailored looking raincoats out there? Don;t need insulation - just waterproofedness. For dog walking or walking around towns and cities., I want practical but with feminine, shaped tailoring. Any suggestions welcome x

Gosh I've just taken another look at the didrickson's site and yes they DO sell coats with drawstringed waists. Idiot that I was I picked two styles that didn't (seduced by the scalloped hems). Going to try again. They do look superbly rainproof and the long ones will give good coverage with wellies. Let's see if my second attempt will get me what I want!
I also tried Stutterheim, seduced by the cool, grumpy models. They really are sack-like on me!

Blimey, they are fantastic coats

Aren't they just. My DSD6 just caught me looking at them and now is seems like I'll be spending a few hundred quid on matching coats 🤣

Another rain sisters lover, I got the raven red and it is just beautiful, but more inportantly it is 100% waterproof!

Is it? I’ve admired them online but quite a lot of people - and their own website - say they’re not that waterproof.

Waterproof: (10,000mm) Our coats can withstand 1-2 hours in a light rain/snow, or approximately 30 minutes in a moderate shower, without letting water come through. Our coats are not appropriate for heavy showers!

Waterproofing and Design Details

All our coats are made using a special membrane material, which is a woven fabric that is flexible and functional, but also soft and incredibly comfortable. In combination with design details like adjustable hood, hidden pockets and snap closure it wil...

I wear mine to walk the 2miles home from work, I live in the 3rd rainiest place in Wales and i'm extremely happy with it, plus it dries really quickly and looks amazing.

I wear the Protected Species Tour in Khaki for dog walking. Fully waterproof & I love the shape & details.

Honestly I'd give Didriksons another go, I've had mine 2.5 years and it's the best coat I've ever owned. Totally waterproof and windproof.

My sister has a knee-length Joules raincoat with a drawstring waist, no tie belt.

Ha I am currently sat outside in exactly this. Had it for about 10 years. It is quite mumsy tho.
